Care of Glass

Can I put painted glass in the dishwasher

The water is hot and the chemicals in the soap are meant to clean hard surfaces.

We recommend washing with a cloth and warm soapy water and rinsing them right away. Don't let them soak in water. That is the worst thing you can do.

Safety of Glass

Glass and china paints are for decorative purposes only and are NOT food safe. Don't let anyone tell you other wise. Never let the painted surface come in contact with food or your mouth. Of course, it is safe to touch.

This is why you will always see a "safe area" at the top of all Painted Snowflakes glasses. All items are painted on the outside or underneath where the food, nor drink, will not touch it.

All varnished, painted or decorated surfaces can be used with dry food if a doily is placed between them.

My glass was broken in shipping

Broken Glass

Glass objects are NOT insurable when shipping. Less than 5% of our packages arrive broken as we do our best to package them.

If something does break, and is replacable we will work out the best way to make that happen. Usually Stacey will make another and ship it to you.

If it's something non replaceable, we will refund it.

Painted Snowflakes will gladly accept cancellations within 24 hours. Please advise us of your decision by email and we will cancel your order.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please let us know. We will work with you to make it right.

Custom orders and sale items are NOT returnable. Due to the nature of the order we will converse much about your design and if appropriate, or asked for, I will send images while in process.

All orders must be paid in full in advance. We take most major credit cards.

If you are in Canada we take E transfers.

Painted Snowflakes has work all over the world. Please know that we expect to have it labelled with the Painted Snowflakes name unless the work is specifically designed by you.

We welcome working with companies for gift giving, retirement ideas or achievement awards. As the work is all done by a single artist, please be aware of time frames against numbers needed.

Customization

More than Names, dates or titles, customizations can be colour choices, patterns and pieces in particular. Regarding weddings, we can compliment invitation patterns, bouquets, even lace. Custom work is particular to each person.

Info Collection

What information do you gather from me?

In layman's terms this site will collect information from you. When you make a purchase I we learn your full name, address, email, and possibly phone number. Any credit card information goes through a well protected third party company that I chose because of their excellent reputations. We do not receive any card numbers etc. from them. We simply receive any monies collected by them on our behalf minus the necessary fees.

There is software attached to the site that will collect information such as how many pages you visited and how long you viewed them as well as any comments, reviews, or messages sent through the site.
